Honoring the First Stewards of This Land

Long before modern roads carved through the canyons and rivers were bridged, the lands surrounding Del Rio, Texas were home to the Coahuiltecan, Lipan Apache, and Comanche tribes. These native peoples lived in rhythm with the land—listening to the wind, reading the stars, and moving with the herds and the seasons.

At OTG Adventure Park, we walk the same ground they once walked.
We believe the spirit of this place still whispers through the mesquite trees, dances with the flicker of the campfire, and lingers in the stillness of the night sky.
To us, this land isn’t just a backdrop for adventure—it’s sacred history beneath our feet.

The Spirit of the Land

The tribes who lived in this region saw every rock, stream, and star as a living part of creation. They believed the Earth was not something to be owned but something to be cared for—a relationship built on respect and balance.

When you stand at Goat Cliff or gaze out across the 1,000 off-grid acres of OTG, you can feel that same connection.
The land has memory.
It remembers songs, stories, and ceremonies.
It welcomes those who listen.

Our Promise to Honor Their Legacy

Over the coming months, OTG Adventure Park will host special events that pay tribute to those who walked here before us:
Powwows & Drum Circles – Celebrations of unity, culture, and song
Story Circles – Evenings around the fire sharing ancestral legends and local lore
Full Moon Gatherings – Moments of reflection to honor nature’s cycles and spiritual renewal

Each event will be designed with authenticity, humility, and deep respect—because honoring the land also means honoring the people who first belonged to it.

Listen. Learn. Connect.

Whether you come for a weekend adventure or stay for a community event, take a moment to pause and listen.
The wind that sweeps across these hills carries the voices of those who came before.
Their lessons are still here, woven into the soil and stars.
